Video: Hipsters want a clue… from this life
5 year old sings ‘Folsom Prison Blues’
Ad seen on an online dating site
Now, this ad keeps popping up everywhere.
a) Does this man look like a fatty chaser?
b) Would larger women (I’m one, myself) actually want to date a guy who’s specifically into larger women? The idea creeps me out. I’m okay with “I don’t care what size you are, baby, it’s all good to me” but “Baby, can you eat more pie?” is kinda scary (and man, do I love pie).
What do you think? What’s your take on this ad?
c) Sure, he can spell, but his penmanship is terrible!
Heh.
Helicopter Dolphin Submarine is almost here!
British singer-songwriter Andy J Gallagher first hit London’s intimate music venues with punky Avant-Britpop band The Shopkeeper Appeared. Fame beckoned with plays on BBC Radio One and gigs with global superstars Radiohead, but Gallagher, ever hungry for new creative experiences, headed off to explore the worlds music scenes collaborating with a host of characters including Sparks guitarist Adrian Fisher. Once back in the UK, crucial changes in Gallagher’s personal life prompted an outpouring of lyrical emotion and when Roman Jugg, ex-member of seminal punk band The Damned, heard Gallagher’s new demos and insisted on producing his debut album, Helicopter Dolphin Submarine, due for release later this year. The forthcoming single – faster and faster – caught the attention of the BBC TopGear crew and the series director, stunt drivers, and cameramen rolled up to make the brilliant Guy Ritchie-esque video for the track.
Charged with raw, living energy and peopled by real world characters, the album has perfectly pinned down the zeitgeist of modern urbanites living in a wayward generation.
“Finally, someone worthy of a buzzcocks comparison, really good songs”!
Steve Diggle, Buzzcocks
“Lyrical Genius….”
Roman Jugg, The Dammned
“His Crocodiles and Prostitutes EP sounds a bit like Joy Division, a bit like The Jam, and, surprisingly, doesn’t shoot itself in the foot by inviting comparisons to such greats.”
CD Times
“Something Else is a perfectly valid punk pop that delves back to Magazine’s bitterness, yet never takes itself too seriously.”
Experimental Music Love
“THE forthcoming Crocodiles And Prostitutes EP from Andy J Gallagher is a snappy release worth paying money for.”
Isaac Ashe, Sound Advice
“The London punk’s raw four-track is an energetic collection of Libertines-style rockers that come tearing out of the speakers. I feel we’re on a promise with this up-and-coming rocker’s album.”
Maggie Woods, MotorBar
Guinea Pig Hair Comb: Dead animal accessories?

What… the eff.
Now, I’ve always thought that popular fashion via the fashion channels on your local cable was pretty out there and ridiculous. I mean, I can appreciate most of it for it’s artistic creativity. But dead, taxidermied animals in my hair? I dunno, man. I just don’t know.
What do you think? Would you wear this in your hair? How about a headband made of dead, angry-looking white rat? Or a pigeon wing necklace? *shudder* I just… I just don’t get it.
You’re welcome, shoppers. Oh, and here’s a unicorn chaser.

Green Lantern: First Flight, The pre-flight screening!
Man-geeks, women-geeks, boy-geeks and girl-geeks… guess what? I just got to watch Green Lantern: First Flight!
It’s the DC animated feature that I have been waiting for since the day that I saw Wonder Woman. So far we have had to watch it with interruptions since we’re at work, but I can’t complain too much. It’s got action, sci-fi, fantasy, DC comics, celeb voices and all the geek drawing story that I could hope for.
The movie starts with Hal Jordon (Chris Meloni, Law & Order: SVU) being chosen as a new member of the Green Lantern Corps. The awe and wonder of the ring’s power are short lived as real problems arise within the universe.
